“Phobias of all kinds are one of the most common reasons why people come to seek my expertise.

What can someone expect from fear of injections hypnotherapy?

When someone calls me, I would normally chat with my them to make sure I can help them and of course answer any questions that they may have. This could be by telephone, email or online. At the beginning of the session, I would ask them to tell me not only the specifics of the problem they are facing, but also discuss what would be their desired outcome to resolve the issue.

Once I am happy that I know the desired outcome I will start to move them from the problem towards the solution. The solution is relatively simple, I will give them a session of fear of injections hypnotherapy, after which I would give them a back up session either on USB or electronic download, tis ensures that they only need to see me once.

I will explain that they are in control at all times and their unconscious mind will only accept positive suggestions that are beneficial to them. Most people experience hypnosis as a relaxed state. I will ask my client to close your eyes, as this helps to block out up to 80% of unnecessary sensory stimulation. I’ll guide them into a state of relaxation whilst explaining the challenge they’re  facing is not serving them any purpose, and help guide them to resolve it.  At this point, you they feel deeply relaxed and in a day dreamlike state. I will suggest better, alternative solutions Effectively detaching the emotion from previous memories or all future memories where it is not required.

All issues can be helped with just one session.

As long as you’re seeing a qualified mental health professional who has extensive training in hypnosis, hypnotherapy fear of injections is considered very safe. The first thing to consider when choosing a hypnotherapist is the practitioner’s qualifications. Look for a degree qualified mental health care professional — such as a psychologist, psychotherapist, psychiatric nurse practitioner, counsellor, social worker, or medical doctor — who is also a hypnotherapist. Unfortunately, there are many therapists advertising who have nothing more than an online qualification, they will usually claim to have either a diploma or certificate in Hypnotherapy, these are not recognised qualifications. You can also ask if they’re affiliated with any professional associations, such as the International Hypnotherapy Association.

If for example, a hypnotist uncovers trauma while doing hypnotherapy, they need to know how to treat trauma. In other words, having the education and training to diagnose and treat mental health conditions — which comes from being a degree qualified Psychologist — is a key component in the success of hypnotherapy and of course your safety.
